A cooperative housing society built on decades of trust, transparency, and community.
Aruna Palli Housing Society, established under the Jahangirnagar University Co-operative, has been providing quality residential living for university faculty, staff, and their families since its founding.
To provide a safe, well-governed, and community-oriented residential environment for Jahangirnagar University employees and their families — ensuring transparent management, quality infrastructure, and an active sense of belonging for every member.
To become the most exemplary cooperative housing society in Bangladesh — a model of democratic self-governance, environmental sustainability, and resident welfare that inspires similar communities across the country.
Aruna Palli Housing Society is formally registered under the Jahangirnagar University Co-operative. The first 12 plots are allocated to founding faculty members.
Roads, boundary walls, water supply, and electricity networks completed for Blocks A and B. First 24 families take up residence.
Blocks C–F developed, bringing total plots to 48. The multi-purpose Community Hall is inaugurated, becoming the hub of society events and meetings.
A new governance charter is ratified at the AGM, enshrining biennial elections, open financial audits, and formal grievance procedures for all members.
Society-wide tree plantation drive, solar street lighting installation, and a rainwater harvesting pilot project launched under the Environment Committee.
Aruna Palli's Management Information System goes live — digitising member records, fee management, notice distribution, and governance workflows for all 48 plots.
The principles that guide every decision we make as a community.
Every financial decision, meeting resolution, and administrative action is documented and available to all members.
Every member has an equal voice. Committee elections and AGM votes ensure no single group dictates society decisions.
Elected committee members serve with defined responsibilities and are subject to regular review and re-election by the membership.
We look after our neighbours — from celebrating milestones to supporting members facing hardship through the welfare fund.
We maintain green spaces, plant trees annually, and pursue sustainable infrastructure solutions to protect our environment.
Our MIS platform brings record-keeping, fee payments, notices, and communication into the digital era for maximum efficiency.
Elected representatives serving all 48 member families.
Aruna Palli is a fully serviced residential community. The society directly manages roads, water supply, electricity distribution, security, waste management, and common green areas — ensuring a comfortable standard of living for all residents.
